Roger joined the family dairy farming business from school back in the 1960’s. He attended Plumpton Agricultural College in 1968-69 and gained the NCA before returning to the family business which he helped grow steadily for the next 30 years. Keeping abreast of the latest innovations in farming and particularly dairying was always one of Roger’s keen interests during those early years in the industry.
Roger met his future wife Kathryn in 1975, they married the following year and have spent 44 wonderful years together. They have one son James who has joined the family business recently.
In 2002 Roger made the conscious decision to come out of dairying and diversify into arable cropping and convert some of the modern buildings into light industrial units which fortunately has proved to be a success.
More recently ‘The Meadows’ Pet Crematorium business has been established at Easthampnett Farm and is run by their son James.
Roger is essentially a home bird who enjoys cycling, walking the dogs and fine wine when not involved with Parish Council matters.
