On Saturday 4 July 2020 Covid-19 regulations were relaxed sufficient to allow the reopening of the playground and skatepark on the Tangmere Recreation Field. Parents are urged to be vigilant and to ensure that children’s hands are sanitised before and after play. The reopened playground includes the newest piece of play equipment, a “Nexus Altitude 5 Slide” , incorporates climbing, hanging and sliding features. It has 2 multi person decks at different heights, a slide, rope ladder, vertical climbing wall, monkey bars, inclined climbing wall, curved sliding pole, trapeze, thorn climber and bench seat. It is intended for use by the over 12 age group, and is 3 metres high at the highest point.
