“Originally from the Wirral in Merseyside, I moved to West Sussex in 1989 while working for Body Shop as Head of Training and Personnel (as it was known then).
I have two children, 36 and 33 and 2 grandchildren who live in Pulborough.
In 1993 I joined Warner Bros. Entertainment UK as HR Director and had a 23 year career with them. My final position was Senior Vice President of International HR responsible for all people related matters globally with the exception of the United States. I covered everything from recruitment, compensation and learning and development to managing organisational development and the people aspects of mergers and acquisitions.
I retired in 2016 and moved to Tangmere. For the last 6 years I have served as a Non-Executive Director of Thakeham, a developer and strategic land promoter based in Billingshurst.
My reasons for wanting to become a parish councillor are basically because I love the village and living here and have plenty of time on my hands that I would like to fill with a purposeful role were I can feel like I’m making a valid contribution.”
